Where do you do photo sessions?

As an on location photographer photo sessions can be done in your home, the beach, the park or any special location of your choice.

If I choose to do the photo session in my home, what preparations are necessary?

Most portraits will be taken in your bedroom. You should have a plain bedspread or blanket (I prefer white but it's your choice). You should clear off your night stands and areas surrounding your bed.  Some photos will be taken in your living area and babies nursery as well. There's no need to worry about preperations, we can handle those when I arrive.

What colour clothing should we wear?

I reccommend that you do not wear anything with logos, stripes, patterns or anything that may seem too busy in your portrait. Generally when families dress in the same colours the picture appears more united and focus is placed more on the subjects expressions. Be sure to plan your outfit in advance, once the session is done it is too late to turn back the time. If your shooting at home with a white backdrop , I would reccommend each family member wear a black long sleeve shirt if posssible. Again, that is your choice!

I want to take pregnancy pictures, when is the best time?

It is often best to take your pregnancy pictures in the end of your 7th month or early in your eigth month.

How much does it cost for each session?

Pricing varies depending on how many posing options you would like. Digital packages are also available if you prefer. A session fee of $50.00 has to be paid prior the the photo shoot and is only refundable with 48 hours notice of cancellation.

How long does a session take?

Generally a session lasts between 1 and 2 hours. It is up to you if you want your session to be shorter. This depends greatly on the ages of the subjects.

How long does it take to see the photos?

Generally within one week you will be given proofs to choose from.

I would like to schedule you for my wedding, what are your fee's?

Fee's are dependant on how much travel is required. If I would have to stay on an out of town location until late in the evening, there will be accomodation fee's required. It is best to contact me with your details and I would be happy to give you a quote.

Where will you travel in Nova Scotia?

I cover all of Cape Breton Island as well as Port Hawkesbury, Antigonish and surrounding areas. If you do not live in one of those locations and would still like to book me, send along an email through my contact page and I will get back to you within 24 hours with a quote.

Do you cover events?

Yes.

Do you have hospital birthing packages?

Yes.

I would like all my photo's given on a digital storage device or CD, is this possible?

Yes. I have digital packages available.
